Not much happening except chilling out on our last day before we start traveling back to Kuta and then finally home.

This 20 cm long geco scared the life out of me when I was in the shower!
He slowly crept up on me and when I spotted him he was on the turquoise wall eye level and an arm length away...

Knackered after a full day of surfing.
So I brought some chocolate and ice cream to keep him awake till 20:00.

This little brown horse had to work hard to take us around the island,
but we tipped him well by paying almost twice the price.

Our first meal out for a couple of days.
And my meal was amazing! You might think it doesn't look like much but I can tell you that plate is the biggest one I've ever seen!

Today I took Tom for a little walk on the island. By little i mean never further then a slow 5 minute walk back to the toilet.
(To be honest I've felt pretty rough myself but not even near what Tom had and I thank my lucky stars for that, because I don't know what we both had done with one toilet then...)

Today in contrast with last night we've had rain instead of vomit and instead of coming (from two directions) from Tom it's been coming (in one direction) from the sky.
I've seen a lot of rain today.
And all I think about last night is food poisoning.

There's no dogs on this island but loads of cats. They seem to be well looked after even though they are half the size of our Westernised cats.

Tom is out there somewhere surfing and I'm reading my book on the beach, when I don't get to hot and have to move from my shady spot into the cool water.

The little street we walk up and down to get to and from our B&B and the main road usually smells bad like rotten food and now I know why. Every morning there's the islands own little food market with everything from fish and chicken till fruit and veggies and I'm pretty sure you can buy live chickens too.

We both were a little chocked but not surprised when we saw them loading up the cases for our boat trip to Gili Trawangan. Even with four different destinations they managed to unload our bags at the right island and to our surprise Tom's surfboard arrived in one piece.

Funny monkeys.
They all live wild in the "Monkey Forest" in Ubud and I think they are just as entertained by us as we are by them.
I bet they have a secret place where they keep all their stolen stuff from tourists...

Went' to a traditional Balinese ceremony on our way to Ubud.
It had a bit of everything, but was hard to follow even with the English transcript.
Sometimes it was peaceful music and girls dancing and sometimes it was violent and loud, like this bit.

I think we've found our favourite place to eat in Kuta.
I can't remember the name but I can show you on the map.

Watch it so you don't get blinded by the white british guy in this picture... ;)
(The hat was a gift from our beloved flatmate Rob before we left.)

Someone is pretty pleased to see the fins getting mounted on his new board.
Secondhand and a bargain,
all we need to do now is bring it home with all the other things we've got...

Tom's cool cat Tyke.
It's so warm here in Auckland compare to Queenstown.
The holiday started already!
